The wine contest is an international referee and took place in London in its 14th edition.

The co-president in the DWWA, Michael Hill Smith, asked the judges to recommend the wine evaluated with a hand in their heart to Decanter readers. He wanted to transmit the contest philosophy and the value proposition, because it is the judges who make Decanter have such good recognition.

It is composed of 219 international experts, among them you may find 65 Masters of Wine and 20 Master Sommeliers, who vote blind.

This year, approximately 17.200 wines were tasted, almost 10% more than those in 2016.

In this context, Ochoa Gran Reserva 2009, coming from an exhaustive selection of grapes from the best vineyards of Bodegas Ochoa in Traibuenas and Olite, with 88 points and a bronze medal.

As well, 8A Mil Gracias 2012, created by Adriana Ochoa, has obtained 90 points and a silver medal. Adriana continues with his style of wine and working hard every day “ to represent wines with high quality standards, healthy and that are able to reach the best awards we can have: the satisfaction of our customers and ours too”.
