Ochoa Gran Reserva 2008, obtains another award, this time an international one: Gold in the 23rd edition of SMV in Canada.

Sélections Mondiales des Vins de Canada  is an important international contest of wines in North America, a referral in this market, that takes place in Quebec.

The jury is the strongest point of the organization, formed by the most professional international wine critics. And this year, they have chosen Ochoa Gran Reserva 2008 with a Gold Medal.

Adriana Ochoa, Winemaker of Bodegas Ochoa explains that “Our Ochoa Gran Reserva 2008 comes from an exahustive selection of grapes that starts in the vineyard and continues with a careful ageing in oak barrel and bottle in the winery in Olite. We only make this wine in the best vintages and in 2008, we valued that our vineyard gave us the strength and elegance that we aim with our Ochoa Gran Reserva. Now it is an honor to see that the jury of such high level thinks the same”.

Her sister Beatriz Ochoa, general manager of the winery highlights “We are very happy to receive this medal. We know our Ochoa Gran Reserva 2008 is of a very high quality, but we were also aware that obtaining 85 points to obtain Gold medal in this rigorous contest. Now we can toast and cheer up everyone to try our Ochoa Gran Reserva”
