Last Saturday September 3rd more than 250 people enjoyed a full day in Bodegas Ochoa in their Open Doors day. Bodegas Ochoa shared with their customers and friends their slogan “Living wine” for one more year, being now 7 in total that they organize this event before the harvest.
Bodegas Ochoa organized winery visits with tasting included, and different seminars to approach the wine sector to the different customers that attended. Starting in a grape tasting that attracted the little ones, another one about corks given by producer MA Silva, where the process of making the corks that close the bottles of wine, and other seminars with a vertical tasting of Tempranillo (it had to be repeated because of its success) and another of Moscatel de grano menudo. The vintages tasted in Tempranillo Crianza were 2009, 2012 and 2013 (to be released for Christmas). The vintages tasted of Moscatel were 2014, 2011 and 2009. All of the vertical tastings were moderated by Adriana Ochoa, winemaker of Ochoa.
Life is not only about learning but also about enjoying, there was a time for music by Txaranga Los Muetes de Olite. And to have a great wine, you need a good pincho. Two food trucks (La Camineta and Le petit Truc) were in charge of preparing the food.
Bodegas Ochoa decided to open once again to celebrate the start of the harvest with everyone willing to learn, enjoy and find out what is “living wine” with Ochoa.
