The Spanish Asociation of Journalists and Wine writers (AEPEV) has chosen Ochoa Lagrima Rosé 2017 as best rosé of the year 2018.

In its X edition of Best wines and spirits of Spain, the AEPEV has chosen this wine from Bodegas Ochoa as best wine of the category Rosé. Chivite and Pago del Vicario share pódium with Ochoa in this category.

The Asociation is reunited every 1st of January to decide the wine winners from Spain of the past year. In this edition, 575 brands have participated in the first round of the contest, where 139 wines passed to the next round. And after a double round vote the winners are decided.
These awards will be celebrated next April 12th 2019 in Sevilla, after visiting the wineries of the province with the authorities of the región and members of AEPEV.

This recognition to Ochoa Lagrima Rosé has been highly celebrated in the winery, as Adriana Ochoa (winemaker and owner) explains: “ Ochoa Lagrima Rosé is one of our most beloved wines. A high quality rosé made with grapes in organic from our own vineyard in Traibuenas (Navarra). It is made by the traditional method of saignee, where we need approximately 5 kg of grapes to make a bottle of this delicious wine.
It is an effort that compensates the result when you try it. So we invite all wine lovers to try the new vintage 2018, available in the market, and to toast to a great 2019”.

Beatriz Ochoa, responsible for marketing adds “Bodegas Ochoa repeats award as in 2016 we were awarded by the same Association and to the same wine but in 2015 vintage. I am very happy to see that the quality is valued positively over the years. We hope our loyal customers enjoy it and others who do not know it yet, add it to their favorites”
