With more than 10.000 wines competing for its medals, MUNDUS VINI is celebrated twice a year since 2014: autumn and summer.
It was in the summer edition when Bodegas Ochoa was awarded with three medals: one silver medal for the Ochoa Tempranillo Crianza 2014 and gold medals for Ochoa Reserva 2011 and Ochoa Gran Reserva 2010.
The purpose of the contest is to promote the quality and commercialization of the top wines, at the same time acting as an ideal forum for producers, viticulturists, importers and consumers to compare the different wines that receive an award from the tough jury made of 175 members.
“These 3 wines are 3 of our icons. We are aware that they are 3 top class wines, both in regards to flavour and the enological aspect, but it is always a surprise to see them come back home with a medal hanging round the neck of the bottle.” states Adriana Ochoa, technical director of Bodegas Ochoa.
The MUNDUS VINI medals add to those received in the previous months: Ochoa Reserva 2011: Best Selection Reserva DO Navarra Wines and Gold Medal in Selections Mondiales de Canada.
Ochoa Tempranillo Crianza 2014: best crianza red wine Selección DO Navarra and 93 points in the Guía Vinos Semana Vitivinícola.
