We are the sixth generation of a family of winemakers and vine growers. Together with our team, we care for our vineyard daily with the goal of creating timeless wines that connect people. The values and knowledge passed on by our family have brought us to where we are today. Now, we, Adriana and Beatriz, represent this new era of Ochoa with courage, pride, and our unique style full of resilience, tradition, honesty, friendship and joy.

I feel that, like my father, I approach winemaking with patience and unharried, I am calm and reflective, even if that sometimes means going against the trends. However, when I fall in love with something, I become an unstoppable bundle of energy.
My love story with wine began at 18 when I packed my bags and head to Bordeaux to study oenology, barely knowing any French. There, I quickly felt at home. Our classes weren’t in lab coats but in boots, out in the vineyards. Getting my hands muddy and letting my mind play with natural elements, there was no turning back.
After working in France, Australia, and other spanish projects, I returned home to Olite. I took on the challenge of preserving our family legacy, helping it grow, continuing to innovate, and taking care of our vineyard, our place in the world. But above all, I strive to create wines that bring joy, connect people, and leave a positive impact on the world.

Sometimes I wonder if, as children, our milk bottles had a few drops of wine in them. Like my sister, I inherited a love for wine and the philosophy of doing things the right way, but I didn’t always know I wanted to work at the winery. Maybe because I’m the youngest, and we tend to have a bit more of a rebellious spirit.
Until 2009, my goal was to explore the world, try new things, and gain experiences. Without realizing it, those years gave me invaluable skills that have been incredibly helpful at the winery. After many years working in England, I began to feel the calling, the wines of Ochoa were waiting for me.
I’ve spent years traveling with my bags ready, always accompanied by our wines. In the end, I took over the management of Bodegas Ochoa from my mother, Mariví Alemán. It makes me happy to know I’m working for something my family has built and that our wines, made with so much love, are appreciated by people worldwide.

Primera piedra de
Bodegas Ochoa
1930
Adriano Ochoa planta 80 hectáreas de viñedo en la Plana de Olite. Primeros embotellados de tintos envejecidos en barrica.
1965
Adriano Ochoa fallece y Javier Ochoa con 19 años recoge el legado de su padre.
1979
Javier Ochoa se casa con Mariví Alemán. Mariví se incorpora a la bodega e impulsa la exportación.
1992
Comienza la plantación del viñedo de Ochoa en Traibuenas. En la actualidad la bodega posee 130 hectáreas en total.
2015
Con Adriana y Beatriz ya plenamente incorporadas en la dirección técnica y gerencia respectivamente, deciden comenzar a cuidar su viñedo de forma ecológica.
2025
Nuevas etiquetas y renovación total de la identidad visual bajo el lema AHORA. AQUÍ. SIEMPRE.
